Welcome to the Fleet: Our New Yutong GTe14 Electric Coach
Something rather special arrived at the yard this week — our new Yutong GTe14 electric coach, and she is genuinely a beauty. This is a significant investment for us and marks a real step forward in our sustainability journey — and, we think, a meaningful step for electric coach hire Scotland in Central Scotland more broadly.
The GTe14 is one of the newest generation of fully electric coaches now operating on UK roads. Zero tailpipe emissions, dramatically quieter running, and a driving experience that has to be felt to be believed. For our travel-trade and corporate clients, that means a coach hire option that materially reduces the carbon footprint of a group trip — increasingly a factor in how tour operators, corporate buyers and event organisers choose their transport partners, including electric coach hire Scotland.
The transition to lower-emission fleets is picking up pace across the industry, and the Confederation of Passenger Transport – the trade body we’re proud members of – has been vocal about the role coach travel plays in meeting the UK’s net zero commitments. A single coach can take up to fifty cars off the road – and now, in our case, do it with zero exhaust emissions too, further emphasising the importance of electric coach hire Scotland.
Over the coming weeks we’ll be sharing more as she’s prepared for service – livery, first passenger runs, and the small operational details that go into welcoming a new vehicle to the fleet. Follow along on social to see the transformation.
