It’s finally happening: Scotland is at the World Cup 2026.
After 28 long years — after countless near misses, heartbreaks and moments of hope – Scotland are back at the World Cup. And not just back. Back in the most dramatic, most Scottish way imaginable.
This historic achievement marks a new chapter for Scottish football as we look forward to the Scotland World Cup 2026.
If you weren’t watching on November 18th last year, here’s what you missed: two stoppage-time goals at Hampden Park, a 4-2 win over Denmark, and one of the greatest nights Scottish football has ever produced. Kenny McLean’s last-kick-of-the-game long-range strike sent Hampden – and the whole country – absolutely wild. hunters-coaches
From everyone at Hunters Executive Coaches in Tullibody, we just want to say: come on Scotland. 🏴

And if you’re watching from home in Central Scotland, we hope the pub of your choice has a big screen and comfortable seats.
What This Moment Means
For those of us old enough to remember France 1998, this is genuinely emotional. A whole generation of Scottish football fans has grown up never seeing their national team at a World Cup. Children who watched that tournament are now adults in their thirties. For them, and for everyone who kept believing through the difficult years, this is everything.
It’s also a reminder of what football can do for a nation. The night Scotland qualified, from Alloa to Inverness, from Stirling to Glasgow, pubs, living rooms and community halls erupted. That’s what sport does – it brings people together in a way that almost nothing else can.
Getting Your Group Together to Watch the Games
